(RK760) Allows the individual home wine maker or small winery to efficiently fill wine bottles at a surprisingly fast rate. Perfect for bottling 50 to 500 gallons. Efficient gravity-feed reservoir system allows you to consistently fill each bottle to the same exact level. Just start the flow of your wine through the back entry shut-off valve. Put a bottle over the filling rod and push down to start the flow. Stands 20" tall. Body is made of durable steel. Filling rods are made of stainless steel. Makes bottling seem like an insignificant task.

How does the filler work? Does the filler work on a pressure idea...that is, as you continue to push on the bottle, the wine is forced into the bottle....OR... Is it a siphon idea that causes the wine to enter the bottles? I assume that there is no electric motor involved?
It is more of a siphon idea. When you press down on the bottling rod, you are releasing a flap or door which then allows the wine to enter the bottle. When you let up on the filling rod, the flap closes, stopping the wine flow in the bottle. It is not motorized.

Customer Reviews"poor craftsmanship" Review by Humboldthoneywine (Posted on 5/29/15)
Fills bottles fast but no matter the adjustments it will over fill the bottles everytime. mine arrived with a crack in the inlet valve and the float valve fails from time to time. breaks siphon frequently and is a pain to restart. would not recommend buying one"Speeds things up" Review by Sanders (Posted on 1/13/14)
Just used it for the first time. I have apple wine (30 gals). It took some messing with it to get the siphon going. once it was set up it was FAST. Me and my wife filled and corked 143 bottles in less than 2 hours."Works, but .........." Review by Bob (Posted on 7/4/13)
I had one of these for many years. It works, but has several issues - some major and some minor, in my opinion. First and foremost - it requires that you hold the bottle when filling. It has 3 spouts and I do not have 3 hands, so unless 2 people are very friendly around the filler the 3rd spout is useless. A 2 spout version would have been a much better product. Secondly it requires gravity to work. Your wine supply must be higher than this unit. If your wine is on a bench or table, you are filling bottles on the floor or at least "crouched" over. It is easy to elevate a carboy, but this unit works best with larger quantities of wine. Learning to stop when the bottle is filled to the correct spot is a learned skill. Restarting and re-priming is a pain when you need to change wine supplies. If heavy lifting of wine is involved, it is easily a two person job. Two years ago, I sold mine and bought a vacuum type of filler (Enolmatic). It fills the bottles two to three times faster, has an automatic shutoff when the bottles are properly filled, and will siphon the wine up 13 feet, so gravity is not an issue. It is much easier to clean and operate. The Enolmatic is more expensive, but is by far a much , much better choice for bottling. Three of us bottle wine together and we all shared the cost of the Enolmatic and our per winemaker investment was less than the cost of this unit. Then again, if you have three hands, this might be the unit for you!
