(FP170) This is quite a machine. Amazingly, it will crush and de-stem 2,200 pounds of grapes per hour. Manually operated. Very well built. Made of heavy gauge enamel-coated steel. Total height is 24 inches.
FEATURES:
- A large 20" by 36" hopper with a smooth, enamel surface.
- Two over-size 3-1/2" diameter, fluted aluminum rollers for minimizing resistance.
- Distance between rollers can be adjusted.
- A large 17" turning wheel with handle for maximum leverage. (not shown)
- High-ratio, chain driven gears.
- Two 52" cross-arms for conveniently suspending across open containers.
- Simple to use. Easy to clean.
HERE`S HOW IT WORKS: It crushes the grapes, stems-and-all, through a roller mill and then drops them in to a elongated cradled with perforated holes. Inside the cradle is a series of paddles that spin at a high rate of speed. These paddles auger the stems out the end of the cradle to be discarded and at the same time fling the pulp through perforated holes in the bottom of the cradle.
