DESCRIPTION
(STR950) Package of 25. 1-3/4 inches long. Extremely dense, man-made corks. Light brown to beige in color. Natural looking design. Works very well with our Floor Model and Bench Model corkers. Gives a perfect seal every time. Many commercial wineries are starting to use this type of cork because of their dependability. We do not recommend using these corks with hand-held corkers. Hand-held corkers may be damaged by using these corks due to their extreme density.

Is it necessary to soften and or sterilize a synthetic cork?

Synthetic corks do not need to be softened. They do need to sanitized in a sulfite solution prior to bottling.

If I use synthetic corks do the bottles still need to be stored on their sides? If so for how long before they can be stored standing up?
