[GN189] Also referred to as "Light Crystal", this Caramel malt can be used in almost any style of beer. While traditionally used in European ales, today, it can be found in homebrewing recipes for even Pilsner-style beers. It adds a light, caramel sweetness to the beer that can also be described as light honey. Carmel 10°L malt will add some medium, golden colors to the brew as well, but not too much. Carmel 10°L malt will also increase the head retention and foam stability of your homebrew. Use anywhere from 1/2 pound to 2-1/2 pounds to 5 gallons, depending on the style of beer you are trying to produce.
