Lalvin Wine Yeast (WY210) is among the best available yeasts to the home winemaker. Origin: Champagne Region
Recommended for all types of wines including sparkling wines, late harvest wines and cider. This yeast is also an excellent choice for re-starting stuck fermentations. Lalvin has a high tolerance to alcohol and is neutral in flavor. This specific yeast can also be used in old-fashioned soda pops for bottle conditioning.

Have always used Lavin 1118 yeast in my home grown fruits, but this year the yeast I ordered is extremely slow, it will not get started as it has in all my past years.....There is a problem, going to try some other 1118...

I have tried both Montrachet and EC-1118 for plum wine. I prefer EC-1118. Although it tends to foam more than the Montrachet, it activates quickly and give a higher alcohol content. It ferments well even in cooler temperatures in my cold foggy summer climate (~60F).

This is the yeast I use in my Apricot or Peach wine. It's good. EC-1118 is a good yeast to keep on hand. Yum
