WHAT ABOUT SWEETNESS?
The first thing to understand about sweetness. . .
Is that you can make any type of wine any sweetness you desire. While certain styles of wines are known traditionally for certain ranges of sweetness, you can certainly break the tradition and adjust the wine to a sweetness that suites your own personal taste.
Make any wine as sweet or as dry as you like.
Any wine you make will first be dry (not sweet) when it is ready to be bottled. It is up to you to add sweetness, if desired, to the wine before bottling. A special sweetener known as Wine Conditioner should be used for this purpose.
A few wine making juices come with their own sweetening.
There are a handfull of wine making juices that also include a flavor/sweetness pack. These wines will have some sweetness to them after the pack is added.
