(BY640-2565) This is a classic strain from a traditional brewery in cologne, Germany. When using this yeast, beers will exhibit some of the fruity characteristics of an ale, with a clean lager like profile. This yeast may also be used to produce quick-conditioning lager type beers and ferments well at cold temperature ranges 55-70°F (13-16°C). This yeast is used to produce a wide range of beers from Cream Ales to American style wheat beers.
