First Quality #9 Wine Corks

First quality wine corks are an agglomerated cork, created with uniform cork shavings that are bonded with a food grade adhesive.

If using these corks, bottles must be stored on their side to keep the cork moist. If the corks dry out, your wine or mead will become oxidized. The maximum recommended storage time of wine using these corks is 1 to 1.5 years.

These are #9 x 1.75" Corks

I normally use synthetic corks but I wanted to try these, they should give the same results as the synthetic ones - namely to keep the wine inside the bottle until we are ready to consume it.
